Photos from our recent cooking camp – true to it’s theme, mostly of food!

Having finally caught up on all the chocolate we missed out on during the sponsored slim, I’ve eventually gotten round to working out how much we raised… Drum roll please…  Taking into account the gift aid ticks, we’ve raised –

All i can say is WOW! Obviously, massive thanks go out to the adults who I cajoled into this and everyone who sponsored them. A slim on the run up to Christmas was really mean 🙂 but gave us lots of opportunity to take the mickey out of each other!

This Sunday saw the Scouts up bright and early to make an attempt at rowing from Eton Dorney to the Olympic Stadium by way of the Thames. A distance of around 100km, split across 3 teams (2 x Scouts vs. 1 x Leaders).

Despite a slightly rocky start, and a late start all 3 teams kicked off, spray flying…

2 Hours and 55 minutes later, many had fallen (some of them into the Thames), we made it!

Well done to all the Scouts who gained their Fitness Challenge as a result. Thanks to those who stuck it out an hour beyond what we all expected. And a big Thank You to Harris School for letting us use the equipment and facilities. We couldn’t have done it without you.!

It’s all over! (Yipee), and the slim champions have lost a massive 28kg between them… what am amazing acheivement!

Big thank you to all our champions, you can all enjoy a well deserved Mince Pie.. Well Done!!!
